Budget Slashes Environmental Protections

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Trump today released topline numbers for his proposed fiscal year 2020 budget. The document includes cuts to non-defense programs across the board, while seeking billions for a border wall.

In response to the budget, Ariel Moger, spokesperson for Friends of the Earth, issued the following statement:

Trump’s budget slashes programs that protect our environment, feed families, and provide healthcare. The American people should not have to pay the price for Trump’s 2017 giant tax giveaway to billionaires and Big Oil.
