Digital billboard demanding Pruitt’s firing circles EPA, Congress, and condo rental

WASHINGTON, D.C. – As EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt huddles at a private event with auto industry lobbyists this morning, Friends of the Earth will increase the pressure for his firing. A digital truck carrying the message “Stop the Corruption. #FirePruitt” will circle EPA headquarters, Congress, and Pruitt’s now infamous former condo rental this morning. The truck will also bear the message “Scott Pruitt spent $200k+ of your taxes on his lavish lifestyle,” calling attention to Pruitt’s corrupt behavior.

Lukas Ross, Climate and Energy Campaigner at Friends of the Earth, issued the following response:

Scott Pruitt prefers conspiring in private with polluters rather than defending his corrupt agenda in public. Whether it’s handouts to the fossil fuel industry or first class luxuries for himself, Pruitt is the ultimate example of the Trump Administration’s corruption.

Pruitt is so arrogant that he’s trying to outsmart Trump, giving massive raises to his loyalists. This end run around ethics laws has to stop. Congress must step up and fire Pruitt.
