Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick admits Scott Pruitt must go

WASHINGTON, D.C. – At a press conference this morning in Horsham, Pennsylvania, Representative Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-08) admitted that EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt must go. In a video recorded by activists from Friends of the Earth, Fitzpatrick said “we need transparency in our government, and if we don’t get that that’s unacceptable.”

Lukas Ross, Senior Policy Analyst at Friends of the Earth, issued the following statement in response:

Scott Pruitt’s corruption isn’t just an embarrassment for the Trump Administration, it is a growing weight around the neck of Congressional Republicans. As Representative Fitzpatrick showed today, remaining silent about Pruitt’s corruption is no longer an option. This is a stark message to Representative Fitzpatrick’s fellow Republicans that the pressure is not going to stop until Pruitt is out of a job.
