Trump unveils tax disaster

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Trump Administration today released a blueprint for tax reform. The program includes cutting the corporate tax rate to 20 percent, abolishing the inheritance tax, allowing for the immediate expensing of capital costs, and ending the taxation of corporate profits earned overseas.

Trump’s tax plan advances a dangerous GOP agenda. Crucial agencies like the EPA that Trump has already singled out for cuts will be even more vulnerable when unfunded tax breaks for billionaires explode the deficit. If Trump and the GOP succeed in putting their tax giveaways on the national credit card, the rising deficit will become another excuse to cut the EPA and gut basic protections for our air and water.
