The water use of data centers is immense and unsustainable. Consumers are footing the bill with rising electricity costs, while communities already overburdened by pollution are faced with even more pollution and public health harms.
The AI industry is fighting to keep these stories secret and prevent transparency on data center energy use, and the effects of its content on society.
