Pruitt admits guilt in travel scandal

WASHINGTON, D.C. – In an interview with the CBS News Podcast “The Take,” EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt addressed the growing travel scandal by promising that “there’s change coming” to the way he travels and that “his very next flight” would be in coach.

Lukas Ross, Climate and Energy Campaigner at Friends of the Earth, issued the following statement in response:

If Scott Pruitt wants to accept responsibility, he should immediately reimburse taxpayers for his largesse. Even if he never flies first class again, Pruitt still has questions to answer about this scandal. A flight to Morocco to hawk natural gas imports is inappropriate for an EPA Administrator, whether in business or coach.
