Kiara Laurent is the Digital Advocacy Manager at Friends of the Earth, where they oversee the digital advocacy program including managing advocacy emails, digital fundraising goals, and assisting with online-to-offline organizing. Kiara brings deep expertise in digital organizing and communications from their previous role at Dream Defenders, where they led the digital program and also led campaigns and actions as a field community organizer in Gainesville, Florida. Kiara holds a BA in Criminology and Sociology from the University of Florida. When they’re not campaigning for FOE, they are organizing community spaces, such as an open mic called DOPENMIC, writing poetry, dancing, or exploring a new craft or a new place.
