Melissa Angeles is a Controller at Friends of the Earth, where she works to manage the financial operations of the company. Prior to joining Friend of the Earth, she spent over a decade at BDO USA, LLP, culminating as an Experienced Manager, where she provided outsourced services, including process improvement, ERP implementation, account reconciliation, month end close, employee training, team leadership/mentorship, and served as a controller for various clients and non-profit organizations. Melissa is a Certified Nonprofit Accounting Professional (CNAP), holds an Accounting Certificate from NOVA, and holds a BA in Business Administration from Mackenzie University from Brazil. She loves to travel, try new cuisine, and spend time outdoors with her husband and two kids.
