Raena is the Fossil Fuels and Lands Campaigner at Friends of the Earth where she works to phase out oil and gas leasing on public lands. Prior to this role, Raena held an outreach position with the Union of Concerned Scientists where she worked to advance the role science has in our democracy as well as promote civic engagement within the scientific community during the 2020 Election. Raena has worked as an Americorps VISTA to promote environmental education and conservation in New Mexico, and was a previous Friends of the Earth Climate Fellow.
Raena received her Bachelors in Biology and Psychology at the University of New Mexico. In her spare time, she enjoys going to the used book store, taking up new crafting hobbies, and exploring new food places.
