Veronica O’Hern is the Senior Compliance Specialist at Friends of the Earth, where she ensures organizational compliance, including working with campaigners, lobbyists and legal counsel to fulfill federal, state and local lobbying and electoral reporting requirements. Prior to joining Friends of the Earth, she spent twelve years with the Iowa Arts Council, a division of the Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs, streamlining operations and programs, overseeing grantmaking, and building relationships with government agencies to advance the creative sector.
Veronica has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York University and is a visual artist. She spends her free time hiking, dabbling in foraging, and raising chickens and bees on a small rural homestead with her spouse, children, and a black cat.
